Job description

The ideal candidate will be required to implement series of procedures and control documents to mitigate hazards which include:

  • Interact with the construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning team and report to HSE Manager
  • Utilize contract documents and drawings to identify the energy sources to be locked and tagged out; visit the process areas of the facility to locate the assets; gather appropriate information for LOTO.
  • Shutting down equipment and isolation from its energy source(s)
  • Preventing the release of potentially hazardous energy while maintenance and servicing activities are being performed.
  • Identify lockout points using the electrical single line and three line diagrams.
  • Identify lockout points using mechanical drawings
  • Identify lockout points using power distribution panel drawings and legends.
  • Identify lockout points using the P&IDs
  • Identify LOTO procedures for project equipment and systems
  • Update LOTO procedure using client’s template format (if required) and documents would contain definitive criteria for establishing an effective program to control hazardous energy.
  • Prepare and update the Site HSE Statistics, verify the performance versus the Project and corporate HSE Objective, targets and performance indicators; propose recovery plan in case of mismatch.
  • Lead and coordinate the site emergency response team and fire prevention/fighting team, organizing training and emergency drill mock activities
  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in Construction and Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Industry involving heavy construction sites with mechanical, electrical and piping installation.
  • Fluent English
  • Effective planning skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft package (mostly Word & Excel) 
  • Ability to understand mechanical, electrical and piping drawings
