Our client is a Manufacturer and Engineering Company and Oil & Gas Service provider as well.
For their workshop located in Iraq they are seeking a Pump Shop Manager
||Iraq (rotational job)
- Responsible to
manage all activities and personnel in the pump shop.
- Ensures quality and
delivery requirements are met.
- Ensures compliance of safety rules as well as
company policies and practices.
- Manages all Pump Shop
department functions, activities and personnel. Oversees disassembly,
inspection, assembly, troubleshooting and testing of rotating equipment.
- Provides estimates of
assembly and testing time requirements for costing information on
quotations and proposals
- Determine the acceptability
of components for use as is or repair
- Ensures and signs off as
product being acceptable for final installation
- Schedules workflow to
ensure delivery requirements are met and resources are used efficiently
- Schedules overtime as
needed to meet delivery requirements
- Responsible for managing
budgets and costs within the pump shop.
- Responsible for quality
measures such as scrap, rework and returns costs
- Approves material purchases
needed to meet requirements.
- Selects, trains, motivates
and handles performance matters for all department personnel
- Ensure that all employees
follow safety rules and receive proper training on use of shop equipment.
- Ensures shop equipment is functioning properly and have proper safety
- Ensures that company
policies and practices are being complied with in the pump shop area
- Provides training to
- Implements competency
assessment & training. Uses this to put in a place a robust succession
plan for the business.
- Develops specialilty
tooling and sketches of product and tooling as required
- Lean & continuous
improvement for improving efficiency and productivity.

- Background and experience
in a fitting shop environment including experience as a senior level
- Strong understanding of
- Strong product knowledge of
- Basic understanding of
planning, purchasing and inventory management concepts.
- Strong interpersonal,
communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to develop
relationship with clients & internal customers.
- Good report writing
