Our client is a leading European Engineering and Consultancy company specializing in Oil & Gas, Power and Infrastructure projects with branch offices all over the globe.

For a large Gas Pipeline project in Kazakhstan, ACZENTA is now looking for several Lead Engineers and Contracts and procurement specialists.

Job description
As Lead Process Engineer you will perform the evaluation of the Process documentation related to the pipeline, Gas Metering Stations, Block Valve Stations, Pig Trap Stations, Compressor Station, Emergency Response Center and Shift Camp, granting a specific knowledge of the main concern of the Oil & Gas Processing areas, such as materials and construction, performances and potential hazards.

At pre-contract award stage, the work involved the review of the Basic Design documentation prepared by the Subcontractors in charged to develop the design (Designers) and, if necessary, to make proposal of alternative to improve the completeness and quality of the documentation reviewed.

At post-contract award stage, the work includes the review of the Detail Design documentation prepared by the EPC Contractors, and, if necessary, to make proposal of alternative to improve the completeness and quality of the documentation reviewed, in respect of the budget approved, attending kick – off meetings, assistance to the Client in the assessment and validation of the technical issues at the base of Change order or Claims raised by the EPC Contractors.
Requirements
  • Higher Education Degree (in Engineering Chemical or Mechanical Discipline or similar) is mandatory, preferably including education in Western institution of higher learning.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience.
  • Fluent knowledge of English language is required (Russian would be an advantage).
  • Knowledge and experience in international PMC contracts related to the development and execution EPC Contracts
  • Experience in Pipelines, Gas-Turbine Compressors and Power Generation, particularly in respect of Compressor or Power Stations.
  • Contracts Development Experience, supporting the drafting of technical scope of work of ITB’s, particularly for EPC scope and Lump Sum conditions.
  • Relevant skills include, starting from the Heat & Material Balances by using process simulator software, the preparation of the process deliverables such as PFD, PI&Ds, Blowdown Calculation Report, Supply Spec for Packages (Turbo Compressor, Instrument Air, Fuel Gas Treatment, utility), sizing of equipment, PSV, BDV, Control Valve, and instrumentation to be implemented in the data sheets.
  • Proved capacity in performing hydraulic and thermal calculations on pipeline and piping systems either in steady than transient operation.
  • Experience in P&IDs, Hazid, Hazop, EIA, 3D Models multidisciplinary reviews.
  • Experience in technical Bid Evaluations, technical check of the performance data and contractual performance guarantee for critical equipment/packages such as turbo compressors, fuel gas systems, gas treatment plants, gas fiscal metering systems, utility plants, etc.
  • Preparation and hands-on experience in Process engineering documentation (specifications, philosophies, equipment data sheets, etc.), including training/mentoring of local staff, where applicable.
  • Experience in major Onshore or Offshore Oil & Gas Projects, or for Major Oil Company or EPC Contractor would be a plus.
  • Experience in pre-award technical activities, involving qualification of Bidders, would be preferable
  • Contracts Development Experience, supporting the drafting of technical scope of work of ITB’s, particularly for EPC scope and Lump Sum conditions.
