Our client, a leading international engineering & construction consulting Company for Principals/Owners, is seeking an experienced Project Manager for the construction of 400 Km gravelled and blacktop mountain roads and 200 Km trails in Nepal.

  Project Manager (Mountain Roads Construction)
Nepal, Kathmandu
Several years' assignment
January 2018
  • Coordination between and negotiations with the client, national and regional authorities
  • Directing the local team comprised of technical staff, social mobilizers, finance and administrative personnel and support staff and ensuring knowhow-transfer to the local staff
  • Compilation of annual operation schedules, reports and project documentation
  • Ensure and monitor adequate quality of design and execution through visits of construction sites throughout entire Nepal
In charge for sales during the remaining time:
  • Acquisition of new assignments in cooperation with our Nepalese sub-company and the head office in Switzerland.
  • Maintain good relationship with existing customers and identify new clients and opportunities in the field of development cooperation.

  • Bachelor in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Several years of experience as project manager in the construction activities in rural areas
  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English (business fluent).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with site teams and motivate them to meet the project objectives
  • Enthusiasm for improving life standard in a developing country
